Alexey Shvedov graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Moscow State University in 1978, received the Candidate of Science Degree (PhD) in 1982, and received the Doctor of Science Degree in 1992.

He is currently a professor with the Department of Applied Economics, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia. He has authored six books and more than 100 scientific papers. His research interests include approximation theory, computational methods, econometric modeling.

Prof. Shvedov is an honorary worker of higher professional education of the Russian Federation (2016). He is included in Who’s Who in the World 2016 and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering 2016-2017.
